We officially started our school term today with a visit to Casuarina Parrot Gardens with Nanny and Poppy who are up visiting from Wellington.
The birds are all getting ready for breeding through spring and some didn't want us hanging around their space,
so we just wandered around and looked at the fabulous birds and the great set up they have there.
Mr10 did make a few new friends though.
Mr10 was in bird lovers paradise, when he found this special lorikeet.
I loved the spectacular macaws.
(any Cairo Jim fans reading?)
The boys did some sketching and Mr6 gave the owners a little picture to say thankyou then we headed off for a picnic at the river and after lunch took Nanny and Poppy bushwalking and introduced them to geocaching.
